Start a Future Physician Society Chapter at Your School

Bring physician-led medical education to your school—and build a community of students who want to explore medicine with you.

Bring Medicine to Your School

Interested in becoming a physician?

Chances are, there are other students at your school who are too.

Starting a Future Physician Society chapter gives you and your classmates a way to explore medicine together while gaining access to year-round physician-led education through Docera.

Whether your school already has a HOSA, pre-health, science, or STEM club—or doesn't have a dedicated organization for aspiring physicians at all—FPS can help bring meaningful medical learning directly to your school community.

Lead FPS at Your School

Students who establish a new Future Physician Society chapter can serve as their school's Founding Chapter Lead.

As a Founding Chapter Lead, you'll help introduce FPS to your school, build a community of students interested in medicine, communicate opportunities to members, and serve as the student point person for your chapter.

It's a chance to take on a meaningful leadership role while creating a new opportunity for other aspiring physicians at your school.

What FPS Students Receive

One physician-led educational session each month exploring the science, reasoning, and realities of medicine.

Sample Topics:

  • Cirrhosis & Liver Transplant

  • Understanding Cancer

  • Dementia & The Aging Brain

  • Medical Ethics in Practice

Live Physician Lectures

Work through real patient cases and learn how physicians approach diagnosis and clinical decision-making.

  • A patient with recurrent pericardial effusions

  • Dermatologic emergencies

  • Emergency room cases

Clinical case discussions
  • Live physician Q&A's

  • Physician guest speakers

  • Medical specialty spotlights

And more!

Already Have a HOSA or Pre-Health Club?

Perfect. You don't have to replace it!

Future Physician Society can complement your school's existing HOSA, pre-health, science, or STEM organization by adding year-round physician-led clinical education and mentorship.

Your school can bring FPS memberships to interested members while keeping the club and community you've already built.

How It Works

1. Tell us you're interested

Complete our short chapter interest form and tell us a little about yourself and your school.

2. Find a Faculty Advisor

Most schools require student organizations to have a teacher, counselor, or other faculty member who serves as an advisor.

Don't worry if you haven't found one yet—we can help you explain FPS to a potential advisor.

3. Introduce FPS to Your School

We'll provide information you can share with your faculty advisor or school administration explaining what FPS is, what students receive, and how school enrollment works.

4. Build your Chapter

Find other students at your school who are interested in medicine and want to participate.

5. Start Learning Medicine!

Once your school's participation is established, your members can begin accessing Future Physician Society programming and joining aspiring physicians from across the country.

What Does a Founding Chapter Lead Do?

Founding Chapter Leads help make FPS successful at their school by:

  • Introducing FPS to interested students

  • Helping recruit and welcome chapter members

  • Communicating upcoming FPS events and opportunities

  • Working with a faculty advisor when needed

  • Serving as the student point person for the chapter

  • Helping build a strong community of aspiring physicians at their school

The role is designed to give students meaningful responsibility while helping expand access to physician-led medical education within their school community.

Be the Student Who Brings FPS to Your School

You don't have to wait until college or medical school to start meaningfully exploring medicine.

Bring together the aspiring physicians at your school, create a new opportunity for your community, and take the lead in building something that can continue after you graduate.

Ready to get started? It only takes a few minutes to express interest. After you submit, Docera can provide resources to help you introduce FPS to your school, explain the program to a faculty advisor, and determine the best way for interested students to participate.
