Dear Future Physician,
We're excited to introduce a new way for aspiring physicians to secure a leadership position and get clinical experience. Students can now start a Future Physician Society chapter at their school!
The Future Physician Society (FPS) brings aspiring physicians together through year-round physician-led medical education, clinical case discussions, specialty events, medical ethics, research and writing opportunities, and more.
Now, students can bring that experience directly to their own school community. Students who establish a new FPS chapter have the opportunity to serve as their school's Founding Chapter Lead—taking on a meaningful leadership role while building a community for other students interested in medicine.
As a Founding Chapter Lead, you'll help:
Already have HOSA, a pre-health club, or another STEM organization? That's completely fine. FPS is designed to complement existing organizations by bringing an additional layer of physician-led clinical education and mentorship to interested students.
And you don't have to figure out how to start a chapter on your own. We'll help you through the process, including providing information you can share with a potential faculty advisor and your school.
If you've ever wished there were more opportunities to actually learn medicine at your school, this is your chance to help create one.
We're excited to see where our first student-led FPS chapters take shape this year.
