Unique Volunteer Opportunity!

Unique Volunteer Opportunity for High School Students
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a unique opportunity that recently came across my radar for those of you looking to make a meaningful impact in your community while gaining valuable experiences on your journey toward medicine.
EvryMemory is a student-led nonprofit that connects high school students with individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia through activities designed to promote cognitive engagement and meaningful human connection.
Students can volunteer with an existing chapter—or even start a chapter in their own community if one doesn’t already exist.
Some highlights include:
Volunteer with older adults living with dementia through engaging activities
Start or lead a chapter in your community
Develop leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Earn volunteer hours through participating care facilities
Receive mentorship and resources if you’re interested in launching a chapter
As future physicians, one of the most important qualities you can develop is the ability to connect with patients as people. Experiences like this help build empathy, communication skills, and a deeper appreciation for caring for vulnerable populations—qualities that will serve you throughout your medical career.

I hope some of you find this helpful! I’ll continue sharing unique opportunities like this whenever I come across them.
