Emerging Physicians Conference

Eligibility Criteria

The conference is open to:

  • High school students interested in medicine or healthcare

  • Undergraduate pre-med students

  • Students participating in physician mentorship, research, or scholarly medical projects

Students do not need to be enrolled in a Docera program to apply. Independent submissions are welcome provided that all work is original and adheres to conference guidelines. Students may submit independently and are not required to have physician co-authors, institutional affiliations, or formal research experience to participate.

Students participating in Docera programs are encouraged to submit the projects developed through their mentorship experience.

For students seeking guidance, mentorship, or structured support while developing a conference-worthy project, Docera programs provide physician-led mentorship, project development support, and opportunities to build scholarly medical work suitable for conference submission.

All submissions — including those developed through Docera mentorship programs — are reviewed independently and evaluated using the same academic and professional standards. Conference selections are based on scientific accuracy, clarity of communication, professionalism, originality, and overall quality of submission. Participation in a Docera program does not guarantee conference acceptance, awards, publication, or presentation opportunities.
